Although your jawline is mostly just determined by your genetics, there are things you can do to improve it. First things first. Ifvyou carry a lot of body fat on you then that is something you need to work on. If you have over 25% body fat and are struggling to get a defined jawline then losing weight is the first thing you need to do. No amount of jaw strengthening exercises will bring out your jaw if you carry too much body fat. Now onto the exercises. These exercises can be done as many times as you want per day but what i like to do is do 4-7 minutes of jaw exercises a day. The great thing about them is that you can do them whilst you do something else. What I like to do is workout my jaw while watching the TV. However make sure you are working out your jaw somewhere private because these exercises look pretty weird when performing them. Without any further ado here are 5 exercises to get a more chiselled jawline,
The vowel sounds exercises is a great jaw exercises to start out with. It is easy to do and doesn’t take much time. all you have to do is tilt your head upwards until you feel tension in your neck and then mouth out the vowel sounds. The bring your head back down and repeat. I like to do this 10 times.
This one is a good one for doing while you do something else. You just extend your chin out as far as it goes and then bring it back to it’s normal position and repeat. As this one doesn’t take as much effort I do this one 50 times in row which doesn’t take very long at all.
Stick Out Tongues
This one looks pretty weird but it’s really good for focusing on the back of the jaw. You simply just turn your head to the side and then stick your tongue out. Hold it for 10 seconds and then switch sides. You can gradually increase the time you hold it for as your jaw gets stronger. Do this one 5 times on each side.
This one really works the muscles underneath your chin. To do it begin by bringing your tongue to the roof of your mouth and pushing against it. Then begin to hum and you should feel it just under your chin. This is another one that looks and sounds weird so make sure you are somewhere private when doing it. do this for as long as you can.
This one isn’t really an exercises but I decided to add it in anyway. This is one of the easiest ways to passively improve the look and definition of your jawline. So when you are not eating or sleeping make sure your chewing some gum.
